It's dark as hell, but that doesn't mean it's bad. Darkness can be a good thing to play around with every once in a while. I've always found Neil's music a little bit dark, but I'm still a really big fan. He has the most amazing voice I've ever heard, hands down, and that's including bands like Queen and the Beatles. I won't say that he necessarily has better material, but he does have a better voice.

One of the best political comments songs of recent years. Primarily about the last government's ID cards plan, but also about the general growing of the surveillance state in the name of fighting terrorism. The government were talking about taking a DNA swab from all new-born babies, so the police would have a full DNA database in a couple of generations. Very scary!

@ThroughRock i dont think it's scary, juste listen to it, there's a lot of fun and intelligent lyrics. I never heard something like that, why would you be scared of a song ?

@MrRWJP Excuse me please, may I just ask a question? My brother just bought the album this song is on (Fundamental) and listened to it and said it was really frighetning with lots of eerie sound effects and dark, political themes. Him saying this has put me off the album. Is Fundamental scary at all? Because I don't want to listen to it without getting creeped out.
