Mark Knopfler and Chet Atkins play "I'll see you in my dreams" and Imagine live at Secret Policeman's Third Ball 1987.

'Imagine' by John Lennon.

Great stuff.

Enjoy!

  • @icystratopaul I think you are giving him too much credit... sure Steve Vai is technically a good player if you enjoy listening to dive bombs and scales/arpeggios played really fast. Knopfler and Chet Atkins are a completely different style of music. I personally would rather listen to a Dire Straits song or Chet Atkins playing any day over anything Steve Vai has ever done.

  • i'd rather listen to this instead of steve vai anyday.

  • WTF. HE IS KOREAN ? OR IN KOREA?

  • I could listen to this every day.

  • This is what I 'think' I sound like, but then I wake up.

I'd pay big time for the opportunity to be in a room and hear music like this live!

  • @DeepFriedNigger Very sharp... Maybe I should have typed COL but I doubt many people would have understood that ;)

  • @SadBunnyNL As opposed to figuratively crying?

  • @conks01 ...more like George Bush and Jerry Seinfeld... (just kidding).

  • Why is George Bush playing with Mark Knopfler?

  • Just because a guitarist plays differently, does not mean that he's worse than someone else. There are more than 3 ways to play rythum. The time it takes a guitarist to master anything is not based on years, its based on dedication, determination, heart and raw talent. Chet has been my all time favorite guitar player for many years. I've had the pleasure of seeing him play live, but there are others just as good. Mark Knophler is definitly one of them. (Jerry Reed would be another).

  • This really makes me want to play Mario 3 for some reason.

  • @Hussmeister12 And Knopfler is a worshipper of Atkins. As manywere in his day and likely still are.
