Every time you say it's a fact, you prove that you don't know the meaning of the word. It is your preference you're speaking of, period. And you certainly do seem "hyped up", making assumptions about my knowledge of guitarists simply because I disagree with your opinion.

I happen to prefer Knopfler's body of work as a guitarist, but I don't claim he's the best. Of course Clapton's done great work, but frankly I haven't heard very much from him in the past 40 years or so that's intersted me much.

Chet let Mark take the lead on that last tune, and never once tried to upstage hiim (like the true gentleman he was) but Chet ended it with a beautufful and appropriate harmonic run!
