Yiff! was a fox-based puzzle game I did (before the word had a really bad reputation ;) ) as a present for FoxxFire. It was based loosely on an older game called 'Chain Reaction' (in that game, you placed bombs). I never saw Chain Reaction running but I liked the concept, and wrote a similar game for my TI ages ago. Later, I adapted that game to Yiff!

My brother suggested spicing it up in the manner of Puzzle Fighter by putting fighting foxes in the bottom, which was an amusing idea, so there you go. ;)

  • I don't get it.

    It's like...Go, right?

  • Nah, nowhere near that deep. Basically each cell can hold four pieces. The person who puts the fourth piece in a cell changes them all to their color, and they scatter on the four compass directions. The edges only have 3 directions so take 3 pieces, the corners 2. Walls just mix it up a bit. Another game called 'chain reaction' had pretty much the same concept.

  • what's the name of that last "win" song?

  • Boy.. it's been many years since I put this together, I'm not sure I could tell you!

  • The blue fox looks alot like Guile xD

  • Hehe.. yes, they are derived. ;)

    Ryiff = Ryu

    Zang'yiff = Zangief

    Yiff Li = Chun Li

    Bob = Guile

    I know the names are terribly un-original. ;) Also, I could not come up with any way to mangle Guile's name in the same way, so I gave up and followed the immortal advice, "Just call 'im Bob".
