Rapper Sword (our first time in England!)

Five men of Het Utrechts Morris Team showing for the very first time their first (and only) rapper sword dance. Utrecht MM were the guests of Foxs Border Morris at the Foxtrot 2007 Weekend from June 29 till July 1.
Utrecht was asked to display their rapper dance in the church. Of course Utrecht felt very honoured, even though when travelling to England for the weekend we intended to keep the rapper low profile since we feel we're not up to standard yet. The carpet and small space both made for some difficult dancing - and there were some minor mistakes and one big in the Prince of Wales (showing the star and spinning around - one of the swords was let loose!). And no song and no somersault yet - but give us one or two years more...!
Utrecht Morris Team dances as a rule Cotswold Morris dances and only started the rapper in spring 2006.
Other guests at the Foxtrot weekend were Exmoor Border Morris, Stone the Crows, Step on Board, Powderkegs, Bunnies from Hell, with shows in Stratford-upon-Avon, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway and Bretforton.

that was fantastic Utrecht! And you don't believe your dancing at your full capacity yet?! I look forward to seeing it again in a couple of years time when you say it will be perfected. I thought the foxtrot weekend was splendid, even though it rained most of the time. I thought this made everyone even more determined to have a good time and the weekend wouldn't have been the same if Utrecht MM were not there to enjoy it with us! Thanks, and see you in the very near future.
