Philadelphia Zoo New Male Lion, Makini

This is Makini, the Philadelphia Zoo's new lion prince. The Zoo hopes he and the new lioness that is not yet on exhibit will be starting a new lion pride in the Zoo. Meanwhile, Merlin, the Zoo's lion king, and his lionesses, will take turns sharing the lion exhibit space. The audio you hear is coming from the piped in sound effects around the exhibit. I wish the Zoo would remove those. Makini was actually roaring quietly, but visitors could barely hear him because the artificial sounds were coming from speakers close to the viewing area and were louder than Makini's quiet roar.
