the title of this song sounds a little heavy,but i actually hope the message is comforting...
all i'm really saying here is you can't please everyone...
there will always be someone who can show you under a certain light ,and make you look or feel stupid.
we worry an awful lot about what people think of us...
it can get out of hand,and one day you wake up to find your self esteem swinging on the hinges of what other folk say or feel about you.
at 52 years of age,i'm beginning to care less...it's a huge weight of my shoulders....
maybe it's good to be popular and be able to tick many of the boxes,but you musn't let peoples opinions kill you or grind you down.

so i'm singing this song from the point of view of someone trying to talk another person in off the window ledge....hahahahahahaha

before i go i'd like to dedicate this song to the memory of geoff muirhead aka ed muirton....he was a sweet youtuber in australia who i never met in person,but had a lovely email friendship over the last few years.
geoff had that lovely thing many other youtubers have...they're a killer combination of being humble yet totally enthusiastic about their music and creativity.
he was gritty...i could tell he liked to laugh and never seeked pity on the grounds of being hit with motor neurons disease .
geoff loved the music of tom waits..and lots of twangy rock n roll...
he was also mad for his girlfriend gabrielle who took such good care of him along with the other good people in his life.
i was dreading the inevitable news...
geoff had been on morphine this last month,and he was gradually and gently saying good bye...
i'm in the california desert as i write this,and for all the distractions here,geoff has been drifting into my head everyday all week.
so geoff...sweet heart..this one's for you baby..you were so kind to me...and i learned things about music from you.
we love you geoff.
