###IMPORTANT###

Before locating the file type "cd" then space then the location
The whole point of ending the explorer process is so that the vb script is turned off, thus disabling any means of security and admin privaleges.

Before ending this be sure that you have command prompt open as well as taskmanager.

This way you can go to new process and type "explorer.exe" to get everything back again

  • question : how do you locate the file in command prompt if the file is in D?

i wanted to type D:// into the command prompt box, but i can't delete the C://Users that's already there.. T_T

so what do i do then? help! and thanks a lot!

  • @biskotmeri

hmm... I'm sure there's a way to navigate to the D drive, but I suggest you look on the internet how to do it

  • This is ingenious, and I thank you for coming up with the solution.

I had drilled down in DOS to get to the offending folder and tried the RMDIR command.

It did not occur to me that I needed to stop the EXPLORER.EXE process. That did the trick. Whew.... I could not move that stupid empty directory. It ended with a dot, and I could not even create a dupe directory with a dot at the end.

    Thanks!!!!!
