Use the online catalog to locate materials at the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library in Topeka, Kansas. First, access the library's website at www.tscpl.org Add catalog.tscpl.org to your favorite links for your convenience. Let's practice searching for a book title. Type in the title and click to search. From the list of results, click the desired title to see more information. The catalog page includes the author, publisher and number of pages. On the left are links to reviews and related subjects. Always use the Copy/Holding information when trying to find a book on the shelf. The collection tells where in the library the book is located. The Call Number tells where on the shelf it is located. A Status of "Checked In" means that the book should be on the shelf. To find this book on the shelf, first locate where that collection is shelved. Use the endcap signage to locate the range of shelves. Look for the shelf and specific title by comparing call numbers numerically or alphabetically.
Library staff will help you locate materials on the shelf, just ask!
