Their long courtship is sweet and cool, in the way it's presented. However, the passion seems muted. It's almost as though they are afraid to have sex. Maybe that is the unstated, unconcious message here. Or perhas Luke is afraid of getting close. First it was Luke pursuing Noah. Then he pulls back. Or maybe Luke is playing hard to get. I have to admit, it's confusing and seems untypical to gay life. But even so, it's romantic and I like it.
