I like the raw sound of these recordings waaaaay better than how they came out on the Record. Kinda like the difference between hearing dercree or providence live rather than the studio versions

What is Alli Miller playing at the beginning of this clip? It looks like she's using her brushes on a string of christmas bells strewn over her leg. Seems a little ... unconventional, but i'm not a percussionist.
