Did a little spring adjustment to the sigma to lighten up the trigger. Feels alot better now. Also testing out my TCP738 and Sigma with Magtech, Sellier & Bellot, Remington and CCI Shotshell ammunition...

  • Nice video. But I recommend you stay away from those shotshells

  • @tsande1424 ehh, they serve their purpose. Anybody that has shot them knows they are unreliable in terms of feeding. As far as I am concerned they are for poisonous snakes within 2 feet of my legs. All I need is one shot and I've never had one not go off. Generally when I'm in the woods I'll keep 1 hot with 2 in the mag and another mag mixed of FMJ and JHP for the occasional psychotic dog. Haven't had to shoot one yet, but I've had a few that made me wonder if rabbies was in the area!!!

  • i was thinking about getting the sigma 9mm for my first handgun because of the price...would you recommend it for a first time buyer?

  • @gvegas1989 Hey. As a plinker or Home defense gun yes. As a CCW, no. I do recommend shooting a few hundred rounds to get used to the trigger and then doing the trigger job to lighten it up. You'll appreciate the lighter trigger but will also be better with any other trigger you come across from practice with the heavy stock trigger. Unlike the glock guys lol. They whine about every other trigger they use. But doing the trigger job will also give you a better understanding of the interals too.

  • Exactly my point. What kind of pistol are you going to carry... one with a double action only trigger that will only fire if you pull the long trigger, actuating a safe and snag-free hammer, or a heavier pistol with more moving parts, a possible sensitive trigger and a SAFETY that you might need to disengage.

I will take the DAO Kel-Tek PF9 with just a quick pull for concealed carry.

    Many others will agree.

Get a mini 22 revolver or a derringer for a cheap concealed pistol. They work, mostly.

  • @NoahLDiamond Ah, that was the other thing! I hated the safety on the 709 and the Ruger LC9 for that matter. Good points. The Kel-Tec definately wins, thats why its been on me since day one. But if only the sigma was a little smaller. Did use to carry that but the weigh just got too much. Then carried the Taurus TCP. If there was an invisible gun, that was it! But it started not to go bang all the time. I can deal with a stove pipe but a round not going off more than once, nope. PF9 fit the bill

  • @NoahLDiamond Agreed. And money does stack quickly! Thanks for the dialouge tho. Im still waiting for that 1200 perfect pistol to be available for $199 lol. Ah the dreams.... Take it easy! Suns coming up... Work time!

  • @NoahLDiamond I did have an interest in the Taurus 709. A true double action with second strike AND its striker fired. But weighed noticably more than the PF9, the trigger break was at the VERY rear and had an extra click which was wierd and uncomfortable making my groups bad when I tested in out at the range. And the horror stories of them falling apart lol = fail. Could have been a good system. Have you tried the S&W SD9? Seems like a sigma improvement. May try to find one at the range to test

  • Valid points. My only MAJOR factor I was trying to state is that the DAO grouping is much simpler, much more compact, and is WAY cheaper to produce.

Build 10,000 machines and decide if saving $30 per unit is worth it.

Just my last two cents, since I'm broke now when it comes to anything witty.

  • @NoahLDiamond Also the LOP on the PF9 is much longer than the sigma. Sigma is a great system tho, which is why they were sued by Glock LOL :) but they could have smoothed it out a bit. If your trigger gets stuck in a holster, SCRAP THAT HOLSTER!!! And un modded trigger guards prevent that anyway. I never seen or felt a snag and the trigs are curved, when pulling the gun out anything poking in the guard should roll off the trigger and MAYBE get snagged in the guard but thats still a long shot
