I still have some more songs I haven't converted yet. As you might know, this was Bob Florence's last performance, he passed after getting back to Los Angeles. I will miss him also, I used to see him at Carmellos with his band, and at the L.A. Jazz workshop on the weekends, where he completely too command of that place...could all those cats blow...the best of L.A.'s studio musicians played in that band...whew...

Bob Florence was one of the gretest cats in the world, period. Wealth of talent and just about the nicest guy you'd ever want to meet. I sure miss him.

Right on, tools. I got to work with the Long Beach Pops in '98 (cats like Rick Baptist, Ralph Humphrey, Larry Hall, Alex isles on hand). I called Bob while I was out there and he treated me like a life-long friend during the conversation. Watta guy. Glad you got to see the band so many times. Thanks SO much for posting this stuff!

That was a very special night, it was recorded at Homestead High School. He was a stand up guy, I'll try to get more footage up of that night soon. I also have some with Bob playing with the Homestead High Jazz Band, they can swing...he will be missed...
