Its a lie. The speed is 5Mbps till you watch a couple of videos or download some songs and then they throttle back the speed to .045Mbps.

I have clear for 2 year now I paid $30 and get 3.0 MBPS they slow I dont even get 1.0 it's .18MBP around noon to evening time, but i cant cancle cause I have a contract. Call rep to help they say nothing they can do about it but they can give me $20 amonth with no cap but the speed xis still same fnothving change and the regular price for no cap on plan is $50 so think about before yofu get clear the speed is not consistant.

I just cancelled clear because they had told me when i first purchased it that it would work perfectly in my area. The truth was that it could only get around 4 bars of service and when i called them 2 weeks after they told me i should return the device because my area was too close to the edge of no service. the only way i could have gotten service was to put the modem outside, that was really fast internet, but it would've melted cause i'm in san antonio haha. they kinda screwed me over.
