At my school the Jrotc has been an elective since the 1980s and we don't use BDU's anymore my instuctors just give them away or sell them to people for paintball we use ACU's and everybody gets to keep them we wear them every thursday wednesdays we wear greens and on special occations the drill team wears dress blues.

@LCDrumsandGuitar Im on both at my school but drill team is a whole lot of fun and if ur thinking raiders then u need a lot of determination

@LCDrumsandGuitar i think you should do the raider team its hard but if you put the effort into it and work like a team you will make it and its fun .im a girl and a freshman also but i seen the guys practice and i have tryed but my physical is not all that good

@BaradonTheGreat well I want to say that our best time was about 22 or 23 mins but that was with the team I was with, I have no idea who is on the team now but I'm pretty sure they couldn't run as fast as us, as a team anyway.

I am goin to be a freshman in bout 35 days after we end 8th grade. Me and my friends are doin a petition to get a JROTC unit. I have a couple of questions. Number 1 can you do Drill team and raider team? or just one. Number 2 does The raiders team get Dress uniforms? or just BDUs? im new so i prolly sound like a dumbass but please inform me. Thankyou

@Shadowsoldier12 Well if you have just started the petition for a JROTC program and the your school does decides to do it then yall will have a program when you are a jr. or a sr. because my school took about 3 years to get the program up and running. And yes you can be on both unless the instructor says no. Everyone in the program will get a Class B and Class A uniforms, and we didnt BDU/ACU unless we went out for a competition or summer camp, and only some of us actually got to keep the BDUs
