she was asked her is she though the length of the primary was hurting the democratic party. she said no and tried to historically prove it by referencing other famous campaigns--first her husband in 1992, and the she mentioned rfk's assassination because everybody remembers it happening in June which illustrates the fact that hers was not the first campaign to go on that long. It was mentioned as a tool to remember lengths of previous campaigns

Yes, it IS crystal clear and very OBVIOUS. The reference she was making was: EVERYONE remembers that tragedy. It was a reference to the fact that he was still campaigning for the democratic election and it was JUNE. While she was being criticized for still campaiging -- as if she was drawing it out and dividing the party.
To make her point she quickly referenced to elections that was memorable to her which were still going on in June.
That was all there was to it. Plain and simple.
