  • dont strain edward or any bachmanns or theyll start sparking then the moter will blow up with fire

  • My Edward got a wonky buffer after he was run at those speeds, and he barely survived overheating, (He got the wonky buffer after he crashed into some buffers, use a rolling road for speed capabilities, it's safer.

  • How is it on the track without sparking?

  • @Pokemasterred - it's like any analogue DC model train, 0-12 volts fed through the rails from a DC controller.

  • is there like a remote control to control the speed of the engine and to turn it off or on or it has a battery and theres a switch to turn it on and off

  • Cool. I never had any of the thomas the tank engine ho models. But i had alot of the standard train models. Gordon and henry are the most expensive to get

  • for this kind of thing u should get a rolling road from hornby

  • I woudlent run or strain moters like that, or go to fast, I dont think there really designed for that

  • not really i have it and i have already run it top speed around small tight curves, most that happens is his tender shakes a lil otherwise hes fine

  • Indeed. I never strain my engines to this degree all the time. Only in a small test run such as this will I put this kind of stress onto the motor (And even then its only for a few seconds).

  • Don't listen to him, dude. I've run my bachmann trains like that & nothing happend. Just as long as you don't strain it TOO much. :)
