Non-Ahmadiyya Scholar Dr Khalid Zaheer lecture on the misunderstandings in Muslims spread by Mullah on the matter of Apostasy.
Death Punishment for Apostate is prohibited by Allah Mentioned in Holy Quran.
Islam gives the freedom of right to everyone to choose the belief whatever he think is right.

@mirfaizalmir "all verses are valied" Well this is what you say. Muhammad isn't there to explain. The point is: someone (be it M. or God) created the Qur'an. And since the death of M. people argue or fight upon its meaning. And still worse: There are many who ask to prosecute the ones who don't care or follow the Qur'an. And still worse there are the ones claiming you don't need anything but the Qur'an. Well, frankly, that is propagated stupidity!

@mirfaizalmir I do respect real difference of opinion, and also admit if I am wrong which happens many times. However, to remain fixed on ur opinion even when proven to be mistaken proves arrogrance. I do not expect that you would agree with Quran at this time, however, as is clear verse 4.90 clearifies 4.89 is meant for war by putting restrictions of not fighting those people who want peace. So, to still insist it does not might hints at not being sincere towards finding truth.

@mirfaizalmir
The second thing is that all verses are valied. But you can only apply some at some times. You do not expect to apply the verses of war at times of peace or viva versa. Or apply the verses about how you should behave when in power to when u r not. It is all common sense.

@Littlewhitelephant well if u cant read in context u will end up finding such problems in any book, even if written today, in future or in past. I am not saying that there can be no verse with multiple interpretations, however, as is clear, this is not the case here. You can chose any thing you like, even say that islam rejects idea of God by using [there is no god but God], by just choose to quote [there is no god] and leaving [but God].

@mirfaizalmir "89. verse 4.89 is a verse about war as is clear from the verse 4.90. " Nothing is clear in the Qur'an ! I know from my test reading that koran contains many contradictory verses. Some say that in case of a contradiction the latest verse is the valid one, but what is the use of a book that maintains verses that today are not valid ? Qur'an therefore is VERY, VERY questionable. That's why you may choose it or leave it as you like. My choice is Ayat Noor.

@nsekh085 "based on a stupid reward system, of heaven and hell is never genuine morality". Wisely stated ! But ISLAM infact IS practicing such a stupid reward system. And not only ISLAM. All three socalled "Book religions" are doing that. As a muslim I'd stick to Ayat Noor min as-surat noor and nothing else. Because that is purely soulful but many other verses are doubtful or misunderstandable.

@daveyjjj29 read the next verse 4, 90 Except those who join a group between whom and you there is a treaty (of peace), or those who approach you with hearts restraining them from fighting you as well as fighting their own people. If Allah had pleased, He could have given them power over you, and they would have fought you: Therefore if they withdraw from you but fight you not, and (instead) send you (Guarantees of) peace, then Allah Hath opened no way for you (to war against them).

@Littlewhitelephant 89. verse 4.89 is a verse about war as is clear from the verse 4.90. In fact, in 4.90 states if these people come with peace and do not fight you then you can not harm,or in the words of Quran '.....then God Hath opened no way for you (to war against them) 4.90'
