Avoid KhaoSanRoad at all costs it isnt seeing the real THAILAND unless you want to buy fake id, even the bar girls say its low class,

its full of tree huggers and middle class students, stayed there one day it sucked, head to soi 8 for the crown hotel, nice breakfast and not too expensive, thai house inn soi 7 is 700 baht a night, but no frills and next to all the action if your a guy! pattayas even cheaper head there first if you want to save money, lots of nightlife and go to the island.
