@58serenity I didn't know then when you asked, but now I do. (The internet is so awesome.)
400. Marriage may be solemnized by any of the following who is of
the age of 18 years or older: (a) A priest, minister, rabbi, or authorized person of any
religious denomination.
So unfortunately, you have to be 18 or older. I wonder how they define a religious denomination.

Why would I want to be an ordained reverend of a religion I don't believe? Isn't that the definition of "cult leader"?

The Universal Life Church is not religion specific. They don't require you to be a member of any religion to ordain you. You can even be atheist.

Isn't a reverend a leader of a religion?
Sometimes I find myself considering going to church. I don't know why. I mean, I haven't believed the things they teach for a long time, but I guess, sometimes, I miss those days and would like to pretend I still do. Is that bad?

I am a reverend, and I am not the leader of a religion.
We romanticize the past when we are dissatisfied with the present.
