Btw, you can set the colour scheme to that of Vegas 8 on the Options->Preferences under the "Display" tab, deselect the "Use Vegas color scheme" (fourth last from the bottom.
I too have a ton of Video FX, Transitions and Media generators, more than in 8.0c in fact.

wow you are missing a ton of plugins on the trial. That is not the case on the full version. I got to admit the thing is buggy as hell (please sony where is 9.0a!) but I do like the interface better then 8 because it is setup like all the other NLE's on the market so it make it much easier to switch back and forth. You might want to go under preferences and check " double clicking media will open in trimmer" . It makes the work flow easier.

Vegas Pro 9.0 is too buggy, Where some people say that they'd rather have Sony take their time with 9.0a, to get it 'right', I tend to lean towards the idea that they should get 9.0a released as soon as possible, with the worst bugs fixed (memory, stuttering preview, crash on 2-pass h.264 encodes etc.) as well as some of the major grievances. Then they can take a bit more time to polish the 9.0b release. At that rate 9.0 may be as good as 8.0c by the time we hit 9.1.
