So? It should still be called the C6-R, The C6-R GT1 is based on the Z06, the C5-R was also based on the Z06. C6-R only stands for the Generation, not the Sub-model.

The ZR1 is still a C6 Corvette, Z06 and ZR1 are sub-models... So it is still called the C6R

Great vids Olly. Jw is it tough to get in and out of the car because of the big crushbox on the drivers side? I got to sit in the car after the mid ohio race and it seemed to be rather hard to get in there quickly.

Yes it is... Just like the Corvette C6. Which is the 6. generation of Corvette... C5. is the 5. generation Corvette.. the R obviously stands for Racing.. so C6.R would be the Corvette 6. generation Racing...

C6 isnt for the generation its for the body it was based off of (C6 corvette later the Z06, before that the C5 hence C5.R)
This new car has the body based off of the ZR1. It should be called the ZR1.R GT2 Corvette

The name C6.R are a sort of "code". There's a meaning behind it:
It stands for: Corvette 6. generation of Racing.
The ZR1 is one of the many 6 generation of Corvettes (C6)

The FIA GT3 Z06 based corvette is called the Z06.R zo why cant there be a ZR1.R?

wonder why they arnt calling it the ZR1.R, Since its not based on the C6 or Z06 body anymore.
