I love the leopard MK.2 and the Abrams just the same I hope if they are to see major conflict they do it as allies not as enemy's. Isn't that a nightmare both those beasts out to kill you?That would make you think twice before joining the opposing side.

I'm talking worthy opponent being a new chinese tank, or perhaps an iranian one.

Something where the soldiers can have a challenge to take on.

With an enemy crew that is well-trained.

@nstar247 Oh, man. They obliterated them in the Gulf War. 13 Abrams and 2 Challengers took on over 20 tanks, destroyed each, brought down the trucks, and killed almost every infantryman out there. And we just kept on rolling.

The Abram's armor is up to a foot thick!

@MooseDishes yeah, buts its been proven damned effective against them... In desert storm we only had to take out 23 abrams out of action, and only one fatality... only one. And while taking out hundreds if not thousands of enemy tanks- but this was against outdated soviet tanks.

@TheGoodzgoodz It really isn't proven. The M2 Challenger took an air-to-ground bomb and kept on rolling with only optical damage.

The Abrams has only seen rockets and IED's. One day, perhaps, it will be proven in a tank battle.
