welling up with tears, so he tells her it'll be all right
telling him her fears of how he wouldn't see it through the night
telling her to say a prayer, making sure she isn't right
loading up some ammunition, water and a rifle sling
packs away the leather case his daughter put his bible in
walking out the door towards a truck with engine idling
not thinking bout what pleasures and rewards the afterlife will bring
only thought is coming back, hoping that his aim is true
only goal is stay alive, coping till the day is through
knowing if he were to die, his family would have to move
avoiding occupation and the evil things invaders do
loyalty to motherland is something he cant fail to prove
