@realworldgeek well i'm at university and i use a test scan to connect myself to the university internet the test scan detects AVG Definitions and it doesnt allow my laptop use the uni's internet, did you understand? so its not showing up anywhere its just on the test.

@muzikplumz Is this AVG definitions coming up and running or how are you noticing it is still in place?

@realworldgeek i've used revo uninstaller and it hasnt found the AVG document, and if it were malicious my Kaspersky antivirus wouldve found it after my 2723847 scans, i've fixed it already, but I still want to know why my laptop cant find the AVG Definitions. thanks.

@muzikplumz When you say everything on earth, I assume you are expressing your frustration. The Revo uninstaller is great for finding and eliminating leftovers from old programs. Also, since it could be malicious, have you run malwarebytes, spybot, superantispyware, combofix or smitfraudfix? Those are a few I would run on my own customers machines.
I tried to remove it by using the unistall option on the control panel on my windows vista and after going through all the steps a get this error msg at the end, what can i do?

Ok. so when i try it will say "AVG product not installed, uninstallation request ignored." buuut.... i still have a thing that pops up in the lower left corner where the notifications are that says: " sumthing along the lines that i need to update it." and it wont go away. i pops up like every 2-4 mins saying that. and i have already checked the box for this notification not to pop up... but it still does.. and its quite annoying, plz help.

@CrestDriven You can try locating it under the registry run keys (google for that) or you might try looking for it in the list of services running (you can google that also). Without having a tech actually get ahold of the computer, this is going to be an interesting problem to fix.
