Clarifying: The space between the fretWire is called the frets.

Really pedagogic video otherwise!

Yes that is correct. So the first fret is the space behind the first fret wire and in front of the nut. The second fret the space between the first fret wire and the second fret wire

Note: some guitars have whats called a "zero fret" which is a fret wire just in front of the nut. Not very common.

Finally ! Good guitar players don't always make good teachers. I have now found the best on YouTube. After lesson #1, I have corrected 3 mistakes. Other teachers seem to miss out the basics like why we do thinks not just how we do things. GREAT GREAT GREAT..
