Deborah Conrad has been an influential leader inside Intel sales and marketing group for more than two decades. Her energy reflects the amazement she has for seeing the transformational potential from great innovations. She talks about advice and inspiration she got from mentors like Andy Grove, who taught her the power of questioning things in order to get to the heart of an issue or challenge.

  • I used to be totally in love with her. In 1976....

  • Like most executive bios, she fudges a little about what she specifically did in the early days. Here's what it says:

"From 1990 to 1993, Conrad worked in corporate communications and helped build the worldwide press relations organization, including developing broadcast media, executive speech development and branding programs."

She was pretty junior at that point. Can she really claim to have helped "build the worldwide press relations organization?" Or does she mean just INTEL's?

  • technology good but also bad and dangerous
