Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale

RADIOHEAD AMONGST GROUP WINNING STARS IN TATTERSALLS AUTUMN HORSES IN TRAINING SALE

Group 2 Norfolk Stakes winner RADIOHEAD is one of more than 100 Group/Listed performers to feature in the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training catalogue which is out now and can also be viewed online here . In total there are 1527 lots catalogued for the worlds largest sale of horses in training which takes place at Tattersalls from Monday 26th Thursday 29th October.

The Brian Meehan trained RADIOHEAD, also runner up in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes and third in the Group 1 Nunthorpe Stakes, is joined by another 2009 Royal Ascot winning two year old BIG AUDIO, who won the Listed Chesham Stakes for trainer Richard Hannon and owner Michael Pescod as well as another top juvenile from the Richard Hannon, the prolific winning two year old MONSIEUR CHEVALIER whose six wins include the Group 3 Molecomb Stakes.

Group/Listed winning horses aged 3 and upwards include the John Gosden trained multiple Group 2 winner PIPEDREAMER, winner of more than £400,000 for owners Cheveley Park Stud and most recently the Group 2 Prix Dollar at the weekend. The customary high class consignment from Prince Khalid Abdullahs Juddmonte Farms features eight Group/Listed performers, with the Listed winning and Group 2 placed Andre Fabre trained four year old IDEAL WORLD amongst them. By KINGMAMBO, IDEAL WORLD is the first foal out of the multiple Group 1 winner BANKS HILL, herself the own or half sister to Group 1 winners CACIQUE, CHAMPS ELYSEES, HEAT HAZE and INTERCONTINENTAL as well as the top stallion DANSILI.

Other 2009 Group/Listed winners catalogued are the Barry Hills trained three year old ABOVE AVERAGE, winner of the Group 3 Sandown Classic Trial, the Henry Cecil trained TRANQUIL TIGER, whose seven wins include this years Listed Festival Stakes at Goodwood, Ballydoyles Group 3 Gallinule Stakes winner GRAND DUCAL, Shadwells Listed Aston Park Stakes winner TASTAHIL, trained like ABOVE AVERAGE by Barry Hills, and the Peter Schiergen trained German Group 3 winner OSTLAND.

Commenting on the 2009 Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale, Tattersalls Chairman Edmond Mahony said;

Year after year the Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale attracts buyers from all corners of the world and this year alone the sale has produced the winner of the Group 1 Haydock Sprint Cup, REGAL PARADE, for 16,000 guineas, the Champion Hurdler PUNJABI, for 42,000 guineas and multiple American Grade 2 winner BATTLE OF HASTINGS for 95,000 guineas. This years catalogue has all the usual quality and diversity which makes it such a popular sale with international and domestic buyers as well as the National Hunt fraternity.

The Tattersalls Autumn Horses in Training Sale begins at 9.30am on Monday 26th October. The catalogue is available directly from Tattersalls and from all Tattersalls overseas representatives.
