Taylor 514ce Long & McQuade 50th Anniversary Edition

This is my Taylor 514ce "Canadian Edition" as I call it. It was made for Long & McQuade(a chain of guitar stores in Canada for those who don't know) to celebrate their 50th anniversary. There were only 50 of these guitars made. From what I heard Taylor asked Long & McQuade's top guitar tech what he would put into his favorite Taylor, and there you have it, a limited edition Taylor made for Canadians. It has a Sitka spruce top instead of the normal Wester Red Cedar top, a Walnut body instead of the Mahogany body, has silver tuners instead of the gold tuners and has Maple Leaf fret markers made of mother of pearl instead of the regular dots. My guitar is number 8 of 50. I bought it on the spot once I saw it since I new I would never see another one ever again.

I got one with the cedar top and Im in love with it it sounds amazing - but I really like the intereting changes in this one - thanks for uploading - any chance you could let us hear it at some point : )

i'd rather have cedar top than a sitka spruce...

thats the whole point of a 514ce anyway for me. if i wanted a sitka, i'd go for basically all the other models..

but other than that, it's an awesome guitar you got there

@jthoov I wasn't debating anything about what kind of wood anybody likes... but I'm glad you like cedar. The whole point of having this 514ce is that it's a custom edition.

I've got # 20 of 50. I live in Toronto. I guess the 50 of us are all in this little club. :) I just stumbled upon this post/video yesterday and i was happy t see it there. if yougoogle the exact name of the guitar, all you get is a PDF withe long and mcquade advertisement.
