If the work and achievements of African-Americans were rightfully recognized, there would be no need for songs like this. I look forward to that day.

Thank you for this video. It got my son very interested in his Benjamin Banneker homework assignment.

Ninety percent of microphones used today are based on the ingenuity of Dr. James E. West and a colleague, Gerhard Sessler, who developed the mic (officially known as the Electroacoustic Transducer Electret Microphone) while with Bell Laboratories, and they received a patent for it in 1962. The song doesn't say he was the first to invent the microphone. I think the point of this joint is just to highlight the accomplishments can't really make a song an encyclopedia lol.

U are totally lost buddy. Seems like you are the racist NOT this song LOL
You have definitely demonstrated how hip-hop can also be used as an effective teaching tool. This is an excellent means of creating and constructing knowledge, understanding and critical thinking through hip hop and education. You have definitely used hip hop lyrics in ways that captivate and engage students to further explore themes, analyze, and deconstruct songs.

Wow! You are so good with these lyrics, this song captures these inventors work that should make them all very proud, even those long gone are looking down smiling now.Anyone that works with at risk youth should direct them to get this free mp3 download as this can be the perfect gift as well as educational tool. This is a job very well done by Jair Dynast as he continues to raise the bar in hip hop culture. I love it, it's simply dope!
