I was curious what your opinion is on pistol-grip airbrushes, such as the Grex TG3. I've got my eye on it, but I was wondering if in practice it might hamper control/mobility compared to the standard "pen" brushes.

@indecission They are pretty cool. It's comfortable and more natural. The problem with it for me is that I get in close to the model, especially with minis and that's when it gets awkward for me. I tend to keep the model on the table when I spay close so I start angling my brush up and down. If it was a trigger gun set up, I'd be bumping up against the table surface.

I heard piston compressors overheat real fast. You say they're better, now I don't know what to do.

@537OH55V I never had a problem with that but I have an auto shut off on mine that prevents things like that from happening.
