Highlights from the 1991 season showing the funny, lighter side of Formula One:
USA:
-John Watson rates Hakkinen's spin an 8/10 as he spins to avoid a crash
-Marshalls struggle to remove Patrese's car from the track, stuck in gear
-Senna cruises home and waves to the crowd on his way to the chequered flag
-Piquet jokes around with Balestre on the podium while Senna pretends to slap him in the face
-Balestre pays Senna back by picking up a champagne bottle and spraying him along with Ron Dennis
Brazil
-ESPN's graphic has the car moving the wrong way around the circuit as David Hobbs explains the circuit
-Hobbs jokes with Bob Varsha about De Cesaris' crashing skills
-Varsha explains that Brundle and Blundell have basically the exact same name in Japanese
-Mansell runs back to the pits, waving and blowing a kiss to the fans
San Marino
-Prost spins off and retires on the parade lap before the race while Berger nearly does the same but continues to the grid
-Alesi goes wide into the gravel and retires, much to the annoyance of the Italian fans, gesturing their frustration
-An Italian fan cheers directly at the camera while holding up his camcorder
-Berger pulls down Senna's cap on the podium
Monaco
-A track marshall narrowly avoids Senna's car as he runs across the track and Murray says he needs his brains tested
Canada
-Australia's Channel 9 starting grid order is completely off, confusing the presenters with an awkward moment
-Smoke comes out of a wall on the track, possibly from a barbeque on the other side as Varsha suggests
-Mansell prematurely waves to the crowd at the beginning of the last lap before losing the engine and the race after leading from the start
-Patrese picks up Mansell and drives him back to the pits after he parks his car
Mexico
-A passionate Mexican fan stands on a track fence and waves his shirt around
-Varsha jokes about not wanting to see Frank Williams when his two cars are battling it out on the track
-Senna drives home Alesi after the race
France
-Murray slips up with his r's, saying "Renault rengine"
-Murray jokes that Moreno's bald head makes him look much older than he is
-James Hunt tells Mansell not to wave to the crowd until he's won the race this time
Britain
-Piquet waves and blows a kiss to the camera on the grid
-Murray tells Mansell to watch it while waving his hand again on the last lap of another race
-Mansell stops and gives Senna a ride back to the pits as Senna kicks someone away before they set off
-Mansell struggles to get up the long staircase to the podium after winning the race
-Berger looks rather perturbed that the podium ceremony has started without him as he makes his way up to it during the national anthems
-Berger still doesn't look too happy in the press room, possibly still upset about the podium, as Mansell polishes his new cup
Germany
-Hunt shows his taste for good views before the race
-A fan tries to get a better look from a tree
-Berger gives Capelli a ride back to the pits after the race
Hungary
-Murray says that Senna has a 12 second lead over Mansell in the championship points race
Italy
-During Piquet's 200 Grand Prix celebration, Piquet makes fun of Prost's crooked nose behind his back while he's being interviewed
-Murray finds the humour in a replay not playing while waiting for it
-Murray calls Senna and Prost "the two bosom chums" as they come up together for another battle
-Piquet wipes his windscreen at 180 MPH
-Murray tells us there's 5 races to go before counting them out to be 4, chuckling to himself
-Mansell throws McLaren Team Coordinator Jo Ramirez's hat into the crowd after winning the race
Portugal
-Murray mistakes where he is in Portugal, explaining that Patrese is going to win here in Monaco
Spain
-Morbidelli goes off and hits his teammate Martini as he slides back onto the circuit, making him struggle to the finish on effectively two wheels
Japan
-Senna's pit stop graphic shows 30 seconds despite it being a very quick, 5 second stop
-Murray explains Senna's fame in Japan as Japanese spectators peered into his motorhome as he was changing, making him close the blinds
-Berger holds Senna and Patrese closely together on the podium for the entire national anthem ceremony
Australia
-Murrays says he's a chinaman if Senna doesn't lead away at the start of the race and the first full lap
