Artist talk and butoh performance
Yoshito Ohno

Celebrated butoh artist Yoshito Ohno performs and discusses his work with photographer Eikoh Hosoe. Hosoe's internationally acclaimed work has pushed the boundaries of traditional photography by integrating dance and theatre into photographic essays that lie between reality and fiction. Yoshito Ohno appears in the series The butterfly dream alongside his father Kazuo, as well as participating in the series Ukiyo-e projections. Both series are on display in the exhibition. Ohno has been a pioneering force in the avant-garde dance form butoh since the 1960s, directing and performing in Europe, South America, Asia, Canada and the US.
