I saw him in some seriously small venues. It was beautiful. The Texas Union, and Antones in Austin, Tx. Trixie sang a song with him at Antones. Miss him mucho.

I had the good fortune of being aware of him for about 10 years before he died; unlike Jeff Buckley who I discovered by reading his obituary. But I can't forget the Grammies when they showed all the musicians who had died the previous year. No one clapped for Chris 'cause no one knew who he was. :(

Oh my god, where has this guys music been my wholelife?wait hes dead? why???????? why cant I find out about beautifull musicians like this when theyre alive ,so I at least have a chance of thanking them for making me happy. not fair. Im sorry Chris.ill love and cherishand share your music from now on, and make my own in your honor. itdoesnt make up for youbeing gone i know. so beautifull. its both a sad and happy day for me now. I hope everyone reading this has beauty such as this in their life

LONG TIME - CLASSIC country fan; but I was introduced to Chris in '92...LOVE everything he does, unique and true to his venue - lyrical genius and yes...VERY underrated.
