Video series showing the way I like to clean my records using my Okki Nokki RCM.
In this Part 3 video, after letting the Okki Nokki fluid sit for around 2 minutes, I use the Mobile Fidelity microfibre brush to gently scrubb the record surface, counter and clockwise for a few turns. This phase ends with a two turn vaccum cycle to remove the fluid.
In the next phase (next video) I will do the same thing, but using a different fluid and brush. Using a combination of different fluids (Okki Nokki is alcohol based, L'art Du Son is alcohol free) is probably the best option as each type of fluid handles specific types of dirt/debris more efficiently than others.
At the end of this video you can see me spreading the Lar't Du Son fluid (Bottle 2) with the Clearaudio brush... it will sit there for 3 minutes to "cook", and in the next video I will work on it :)
Are you doing a three part cleaning solution? Which liquid cleaner do you use? How does it compare to the VPI?
