  • is there a choice to kill it first? i am going in to bioligy and i would quite like to know this so i know what to expect. please reply :D

  • @CinnamonTheSexy Hey there! No, the vast majority of the time the frog (or anything, for that matter) will be dead when you dissect it. This was a special circumstance, in that we were directly studying the frog's heart rate, so it was necessary to keep the heart beating during the lab. This was also for an upper-division college physiology class, so you wouldn't do anything like that at the high school level. =)

  • Just for clarification: the frog was alive only in the sense that its heart was still pumping, it's brain was gone, so it had no awareness whatsoever. The leg movements were just reflexes, but it was still pretty weird haha.

  • Stupids fags... This frog isnt alive, its braindead. The heart can still beat on for some time and it can have muscle reflexes but damn its not alive

  • must b a female frog

  • @mw2master1997 if u keep the heart beating u get extra credit

  • @mw2master1997 who cares if ya do it when its alive it awsome to see it in pain going fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

  • THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS KILL THE FROG INSTEAD OF TORTURING IT

  • @sandmomotor if they were to kill the frogs before hand, the body would have already rotted, decayed and decomposed. They HAVE to keep it alive. Besides it cant feel anything. They have the brain taken out so that the nerves system can't send pain signals to the brain. The frog is braindead. It is aware of nothing.

  • The frog is moving his leg, the heart is still beating and what does she say?

"- The frog was not really alive."

    Are you kidding me, right?
