Aaah la r8, quel plaisir de la voire evoluer, ca me rapelle de bons souvenir, en petite virée dans les côtes avec le papa au volant de l'ancienne R8 personelle de René Arnoux, préparée au poil pour attaquer les épingles, aaaaah !

No, it's not stupid, it's called platform engineering, and yes, Audi A3 was (and still is) pretty much the same under the metal as a Skoda. It's stupid that people don't realize it, and pay a lot of money for the brand.

Yes, the car is the same, the chassis, layout, engine block etc. The differences between a Gordini and Dacia 1100 are the same as between Gordini and regular production R8, that is a tuned engine and some suspension/steering and braking performance upgrades (nothing that a good mechanic cannot do by himself).

Like I said : Dacia is just Renault (low cost) Romania thus sure you can seing some resemblances...

Well, sacrilege or not, it's basically the same car, with some performance modifications. As for Dacia the low cost Renault, yes, it was back then, and still is now...and just look at them, gaining market share and turning a nice profit. Cheap crap sells...but is still crap.

Compare a true French Gordini at a Dacia is a pure sacrilège for all fans of Gordini !!!

And more dont forget that Dacia is just a "low cost Renault" made in Romania...
