On August 19, 2011, Kishwaukee College held a "Topping Off"--the final steel beam was placed to complete the framework of the Student Center Building. Faculty, staff and students had signed the beam during the week before the Topping Off, offering their thoughts, wishes, and memories to the future students who will use the building. Kishwaukee College President, Dr. Thomas L. Choice, addressed the faculty, staff, students, and community members who had assembled to witness the Topping Off of the new building. The Student Center is slated to open in January 2013.
