We were filming for my surf film with my waterproof Tachyon XC sports camera with it duct taped to the front of the board. Unfortunately my friend fell off, a wave crashed into the camera (as you can see in the video) and ripped the camera off the board. It then washes up on the sand and we found it! Very lucky

  • Get a Gopro.

  • If you are still looking for ways to attach it firmly, look out for a suction tripod mount for cars. This works great or surfboards, can be found cheap on ebay and they all have a universal tripod mount. Nice try though!!!

  • I been wondering about a good way to attach fishing line to part of the camera and mouting surface (or for what im doing, attached to the Helmet visor bolt), to ensure you can never loose it. But thats for motorsports. Wouldn't know how you'd do that to a surf board. But glad it didn't just dissapear on you! The ocean has ways of doing that ;) .

    Cool video!

  • Haha nice, Glad you didnt lose it
