At the end of the session, hopefully, the market oppurtunities are clearer, the path to financial stability much straighter, and our understanding of financial markets much sharper. Critical to understanding the opportunities for financial gains is a keen assessment of the local and global economy. The Philippine market has been buoyant over the past three years supported by an environment of (1) low interest rates, (2) an appreciating peso, (3) a strong and very liquid banking system, and (4) a government that for the first time in so many years is in a position to lead economic expansion. Where is the safe bet? Where will our investments seek shelter? Questions upon questions will be asked. Let this session shed light amidst the unfolding chaos.
