My first attempt at transcribing various themes from the Gladiator soundtrack.

I did not have much time to work on elaborating the transcription - for most of this piece I was just feeling my way around, and I agree some parts are a bit rough and/or dry.

However I will continue working on this piece as soon as my exams are over...

8 years ago, I watched Gladiator for the first time. This was the initial Hans Zimmer piece that drew my interest to all his other works.

Ironically, whilst I always had the intention of transcribing this piece, it has only been a recent endeavour of mine, having continually put it off... I simply did not know where to start.

How does one "interpret" such a piece which, in its original state, was to me... absolutely perfect.

Gladiator is undoubtedly my favourite musical work of all time.

Look forward to my "remastered" work in the weeks to come.

Danke Hans Zimmer, Umwerfend!!

  • OMG I want to learn this!!

  • Thanks for the comments everyone. You have made my day.

I intend to eventually post a tutorial for the entire piece, but don't have the time right now.

However in the meantime, if anyone wants help learning it, please let me know what part of the piece you need help with and i will elaborate (or maybe even post a partial tutorial).

    Cheers.

I'm currently taking piano lessons, and I'm in the process of doing Pirates of the Caribbean music.

Do you by chance have this on sheet music to share?? I would be very grateful if I could use it to play for my teacher.

Thank you for the beautiful music! :)
