Our beagle is the same way, before he does anything he gives a few big yawns and stretches, and wants morning snuggles with his mom.

wow, your beagle will wear a harness? Our beagle, Baxter hates wearing a harness and will barely move or walk when we put it on him. It's actually kind of like an "off switch" for him, which can be handy when he gets out of control. haha
