This video is dedicated to my uncle who has helped me soooo much with computers :- )
This is a video on how to fix the HFS+ partition error that comes up when you install kalyway 10.5.2
Links:
Kalyway 10.5.2:

Kalyway Combo update:

Windows Vista Ultimate:
http://thepiratebay.org/torrent/4441659/Microsoft_Windows_Vista_Ultimate_with...)

1) Boot from the kalyway DVD. Go to terminal and type:
fdisk -u /dev/rdisk0 (0 is your hard disk number 0: 1st hard disk, 1: hard disk 2, etc.) and press enter then type yes. Reboot
2) You will find that there is a problem with vista.
3) Boot from the vista DVD and go to repair your computer and go to command prompt and type:
diskpart
select disk 0 (0 is your hard disk number where vista is installed)
select partition 1 (partition 1 is where vista is installed)
active
exit
exit
4) Restart and boot from vista again and go to repair your computer and lick repair and restart.
5) You will find that Vista is available but OS X isn't.
6) To fix this, boot from the vista DVD one last time and go to command prompt and type:
diskpart
select disk 0 (disk 0 is where os x is installed)
select partition 2 (partition 2 is where os x is installed)
active
exit
exit
7) You will find that both os's work fine but the os x welcome screen keeps on looping. To fix this, reboot, press F8, select your OS X partition and type -s.
When prompted, type:
/sbin/fsck -fy
/sbin/mount -uw /
touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone
passwd root

Then type a new password for your admin account twice and then type exit. It will then take you to the OS X logon screen. Type root as the username and the password that u just typed and logon nd make an account for yourself from system preferences in the dock.

  • Hello, young developer. To produce videos without camera shaking tripod may help you. Some cameras have remove, so you may see how it goes :D info is useful, but shaking is not acceptable :D

  • @flamaker2009 Thanks man! This was two years ago btw. I'll keep it in mind for my next video God willing. :)

  • OMG! I made this video when I was 14, I'm 16 now. My voice has gone so much deeper!!!!

  • Can you tell me the reason why when I'm at the passage 7:11 and I Have to type "-s" it reboots? I haven't the possibility to type /sbin/fsck -fy

    /sbin/mount -uw /

    touch /var/db/.AppleSetupDone

    passwd root

    :(

    Please Answer Me!

  • @TheFryT Try using another version such as iatkos or leo4all. The only dianosis I can think of is that your PC isn't compatible with kalyway. If you need some expert advice, log on to the insanely mac forum and search for your problem.

  • Does this work with xp?

  • Can i partition mac os x from there? Since im always getting a partition fail when i try installing it .

  • Hey dude, so yeah i didn't get the looping problem however when i type in -s and wait for it to allow me to input it says:

MAC framework successfully initialized using 16384 buffer headers and 4096 clusters I0 buffer headers

and then stays like that, any ideas?

I have tried booting normally using cpus=1 and maxmem=2048 but still it seems to load but never actually gets to the GUI.

    Cheers,

  • Thanks Bro it worked
