  • This a Patti Page-like song, but Rosemary was an even better singer than was Patti.

  • It depends. I don't think anybody could sing "Tennesse Waltz" the way Patti can, but Rosemary (I think) sang the definitive version of "Blues In the Night."

  • im sad she smoked.. I LOVE THE SONG THO !

  • I love this song. so much. It is haunting.

  • Thanks for this delightful memory of over 50 yrs ago.

  • Red Garters is one of the great musicals ever made....simply w-a-y ahead of its time.

The score has some of the best music ever written for a film. The cast was wonderful, The choreography by Nick Castle was picture perfect. Thanks for posting this gem. What a song....and how well she did sing!!

  • I'd hit that.

  • @Juliaflo yes that was a great song by Guy Mitchell,a great guy at selling a song, I do wish you a Happy Easter,I think that I will be dodging rain,I hope it does not rain on your parade.

  • @Juliaflo I meant 'lucky'---My bad.

  • @easyoldbear 'With a hoop and a holler and a dime and a dollar, I'm a luck son of a gun', right?

Here's hoping you have a Happy Easter.

This film had songs by the movies' ampersand-Jay Livingston and Ray Evans.

  • @Juliaflo of course he sang "witha hoop and a holla and a dime and a dolla " and "man and woman" with Clooney .One thing about this film was that everyone raised their hats when they said The Code of the West! and the whole set was yellow except for the props representing saloons etc..It should be revived .

  • @dirtyolddad Actually, Guy Mitchell was in this musical.
