East Montpelier, Vermont is a perfect example of how a community can use conservation to protect their rural character and their quality of life. Over the past few decades this community has protected their thriving farm enterprises and their working forests, with many miles for recreation and wildlife habitat. This video tells the story of personal investment, thoughtful planning and a hopeful mix of reverence for tradition and a willingness to adapt to change. It is a true Vermont story.
