Hi, maybe you should look for a Peterson's from Ireland. They have a special mouthpiece which leads the smoke not to the tongue but to the palate and this is very helpful against tongue bite. Would be fine you can get such a Peterson's with filter chamber so you could use a 9-mm-filter, too.

dieterniermann,isn't that pipe similar(in both size and shape)to the french calabash pipe from butz choquin.

Just google butz choquin calabash pipe.if you are in doubt. Please answer me this question i would be glad, 'cause i want to buy a calabash pipe, but not like most of those we see. I prefer those of this shape and size, and i already searched big ben's site and i didn't find that one.

So.. 2 things. please answer my question and tell me exactly wich model is that big ben. ty in advance.

Hello,

at Butz-Choquin the original Calabash is called 'Calabash ecume para'. Another exellent Calabash maker is the autrian manufacture 'Strambach' with different and very beautiful pipes. Prices are from 150 €.

Hallo, ja, klar. Unabhängig von der inneren Qualität sehen alle trad. Calabash-Pfeifen sich sehr ähnlich und so ist das auch in IB.

Hallo Dieter,

ich kenne mich in diesem Bereich noch nicht aus, allerdings würden mich Lesepfeifen interessieren. Welche würdest du mir empfehlen bzw. erstmal allgemein, sind Lesepfeifen zum Rauchen geeignet oder sind herkömmliche Pfeifen besser? Welche Unterschiede gibt es (von der Länge einmal abgesehen) und was sollte man bei der Verwendung einer Lesepfeife beachten!?
