Bits and pieces of the first set. "Take You Downtown," "Fever," and the harp cadenza from "Watermelon Man." The second and third set were even better; see Harpgear's video of "Thunky Fing." The comeback continues.

  • your instructional videos are really terrific... but please keep the bar raised high... grab a light ( flood with wide through ) and a stand for it and flood the stage with some light... Live recording of the audio is another issue. But easily make the video quality better with a light.... comment made with all due respect. richandthepoorboys on web

  • This was a blues club, with blues club lighting. I didn't want to interfere with that.

  • Excellent video! I bet you could throw a harmonica at a wall and make it sound great! The files you have posted are the greatest resource ever.

I have a question about what keys the lessons at are in at the pay site so I can find one to match my harp (or buy a new harp).

Also, I use a tongue curl when I play. I think it lets me bend notes with more control. Will you be making a lesson about this technique or is it a bad practice which I should avoid like the plague?

  • That's an excellent question. I'm making a note about it. When I get home after vacation, I'm planning to reorganize the lessons (the store page) and will specify the harmonica key for every for-pay lesson. Thanks for asking.

  • Right on Adam! nice show & sound -5*'s awesome

  • My singing's not very good, and y'all are being nice about that. But I thought we hit our groove on "Fever." My C harp was malfunctioning, though--the 4 blow kept sticking--which is why I leave stage halfway through, then come back with a different harp in the same key and blow again.
