After 12 days out west, it was time to fly home to New York. I stayed overnight in Salt Lake City to catch an early morning flight, and had some time to spend trackside. While not as busy as what I'm used to on CSX, this Amtrak station sees about 20-30 UP Trains a day, including some locals. There are also several Front Runner Commuter trains to be seen.

Train 1..........5:00 P.M.
Right on time, Front Runner train #3 departs Salt Lake for Pleasant View.

Train 2.........5:10 P.M.
Next up, a Utah Railway tanker local departs the yard with a pair of hard-working geeps. It was carrying liqified petroleum gas. The

To end it, we see yet another Front Runner train, with cab car #112 and MP36PH-3C #8, operating as train 5.
