Just a little update directly from Sakura who manufactures the Glaze pen, you can throw away the little ball and do not need to put it pack on the tip.

thanks for this. Nice. It gives me another idea; like I could use some of my left over clear nail polish and just brush or dab it on! Seems like it has taken you about three minutes for one card. Maybe brushing nail polish on would take only 30 seconds.
