Airplaco Equipment Company presents a highlight video of concrete leveling projects to demonstrate the usefulness of the process of slabjacking (aka, mudjacking, concrete lifting, concrete raising, slab leveling, etc). The Airplaco PumpMasterTM is featured on several jobsites, residential, commercial and municipal (ie. public roads). PumpMaster model PG-21 and model MJ-16 are featured throughout the video. Both models offer unique features for raising concrete. Model PG-21 includes a 20 hp engine and other advanced features for slabjacking while model MJ-16 includes an 8 hp engine and works well as a entry-level mudjack pump. Both grout pumps feature the Airplaco LONG LIFETM hard-chrome material cylinders, which are unmatched in the industry. The cylinders are made to withstand the rigors and demands on the jobsite so you won't be calling all the time for replacement parts!
The PumpMaster slabjack pumps are used with grout hose ( customer specifies length) and grout nozzle. The typical contractor may use anywhere from 10 ft to 50 ft of grout hose for mudjacking. The grout nozzle is also manufactured by Airplaco. Again, the typical contractor would use a slab insertion-type nozzle with T-Bar handle and insertion tip for entering a hole drilled into the slab. Airplaco can recommend drills and saws that will be useful to the slabjacker. These items are best bought at any major hardware store. The drill is used to drill holes in the slab for the insertion nozzle. The saw is often used by the concrete lifter to separate two slabs (such as two stretches of sidewalk) that have caught on each. During the lifting process one sunken slab may butt up against another slab, requiring a saw cut to separate the slabs.
PumpMaster slabjack pumps are self-propelled to offer an added convenience on the jobsite, easy equipment mobility. The speed of the pump's hydraulic flow is adjustable allowing you to not only control the speed of the self-propulsion but more importantly the speed of the pumping action. Model PG-21 includes a hydraulic drive train for smooth motion and is available with an optional hydraulic take-off circuit for powering any hydraulic tools you may have on the job.
The mudjack pumps are available with optional material screens for filtering large rocks out of your mix. The pumps are engineered to allow 3/8 inch minus size pea-rock to flow through the manifold and discharge. Consult Airplaco for additional suggestions on the grout mix. In brief, many material combinations are out there, including portland cement, soil, pulverized limestone, fly ash and more.
The pumps also are available with an exclusive wireless remote, which allows the contractor to easily start and stop the pumping action. Other options include material hose, nozzles, reducers and cleanout accessories. The pumps are made for easy cleaning. Detachable components allow the contractor to spray the cylinder of each grout pump with water to ensure no built-up of material remains on the pump. This is the most important way to prolong the useful life of the grout pump.
If you are new to slabjacking, Airplaco can help you get established in the business! Take advantage of Airplaco's on-the-job training, which puts you and your team on a real slabjacking jobsite to get that much needed experience in the field. Also, included are a comprehensive slabjacking instruction manual and other tools for bidding your jobs.
